BUILDING A SUCCESSFUL AGING FRIENDLY COMMUNITY
Come together with other professionals to learn:

What is an Aging Friendly Community?

What communities in NYS support and encourage fun and successful aging?

What are successful examples of practices and programs in NYS that are intended to develop and Aging Friendly Community?
This workshop will continue the important discussion that were started at the Empowering Communities for Successful Aging conference in the fall of 2008 that was hosted by the New York State office for the aging and the Albany Guardian Society and held in Saratoga Springs, New York.
You will:

Brain-storm with other professional to develop potential program ideas that could be initiated in your region that will connect non-traditional partners in efforts to help make the community a better place for successful aging.

Learn what might be already developing in your area for successful aging.

Identify barriers to developing a more aging friendly community and brainstorm how those barriers might be overcome.
